After working on it for over a decade, I’m pleased that the book Second Wind: Oral Histories of Lung Transplant Survivors is now a reality.

I’m very grateful to the people who shared their stories so I could record them, look for patterns in them, and make them available to others. I’ve lost track of some of those interviewees, so if you can share recent information about them, feel free to comment on the Interviewee Updates page or send me an email at festle@elon.edu.

I hope readers will find the book meaningful and that people who would like to know more about lung transplantation learn about the book. Please share news of the book’s release  with those you know who might be interested and/or ask your local library to purchase a copy.
